CHARLESTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Jayne Anne Phillips, Buckhannon native and , will speak at the 2025 West Virginia Book Festival on Oct. 25 at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center.

Phillips is the author of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ which won the Pulitzer for fiction, and seven other books. ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œNight Watch,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ set in central West Virginia, tells the story of a mother and daughter seeking refuge after the Civil War.
There are four other featured speakers at the free, family-friendly event:
Neal Shusterman is a sci-fi and fantasy author of over 30 award-winning books including ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ and the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ series. He also writes screenplays for movies and television shows.
TJ Klune is the bestselling author of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ and more. He focuses on having accurate, positive LGBTQ+ representation in stories.
Rosalie Haizlett is the author and illustrator of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ and ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ
.ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ SheÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s been an artist-in-resident at Great Smoky Mountains National Park and lives in Elkins.
Rajia Hassib was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, and now lives in Charleston. A Marshall University professor, she is the author of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œ

The event also will feature writing workshops, family activities, a literary marketplace and the annual Used Book Sale.
