UPDATE: The southbound lanes of Hal Greer Boulevard between 9th and 10th avenues have been reopened to traffic as of about 4:20 p.m. Friday.

The Huntington Sanitary Board inspected the sinkhole and found no issues with sanitary or storm lines, officials for the utility said in a news release. The sinkhole was filled with gravel, and the West Virginia Division of Highways will inspect the roadway at a later date and make repairs.
