MUSIC AT THE MARKET: The Live Music at The Market concert series presents the Barry Frazee Band on Saturday, June 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the patio, and music by Laci & 4YLP on Wednesday, June 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., all happening at The Market complex at 809 3rd Ave. in downtown Huntington.
TRIBUTE SHOW: The free Country Music Highway Tribute Show happens on Saturday, June 1, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. in downtown Russell, Kentucky, in nearby Greenup County. Hosted by the Shaping Our Appalachian Region organization, the concert will feature performances by Bobby and Teddi Cyrus, Joe Clark, Johnathon Cox, Cory Michael Harris, Taylor Hughes and more. 9TH STREET LIVE: The 9th Street Live concerts continue on Friday night in downtown Huntington with a show by the band Litz beginning at 7 p.m. Happening on 9th street between 3rd and 4th Avenues, the free outdoor live music series is sponsored by Mountwest Community & Technical College and Kindred Communications. ART IN THE PARK: Tri-State Arts AssociationÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s annual Art In The Park show will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 1, and from noon until 5 p.m. on June 2, in Ritter Park by the fountain found near 10th Street and 13th Avenue. Over 20 artists will be there plus food trucks and more activities.
SUMMER SATURDAYS: The Old Central City district is hosting its first Summer Saturdays event this Saturday, June 1, lasting from the opening of the FarmerÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Market at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Located at 555 14th St. West in Huntington, this Old Central City event will feature free yoga at the gazebo from 10-11 a.m. followed by live music from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., and the various unique shops and restaurants in the district will be open all day. Additional Summer Saturday events will happen on June 22, July 13 and 27, and on Aug. 10 and 24. More information can be found at .
AT THE PARAMOUNT:Comedian and TV personality Jay Leno performs at the Paramount Arts Center on Friday, May 31, in Ashland. The stand-up comedy show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $50 to $110. On Saturday, the ParamountÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Jazz Alley concert series returns with a show by the Greg Abate Quartet at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 and $35. AT THE LOUD: On Friday, May 31, The Loud Music Venue and Beer Garden will host live music by Abe Partridge along with Darrin Hacquard. The show begins at 9 p.m. and tickets/cover is $15. The Loud will host another Open Mic Night for aspiring musicians beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, and admission is $5. All concerts at The Loud are 18 and older unless noted otherwise. WEEKLY LIVE MUSIC: The BOOTS Spirits and Feed music venue and bar at 411 9th St. in downtown Huntington hosts live music every Friday and free line dancing lessons every Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Guitar Bar, found at the Winchester Steakhouse at 1441 Winchester Ave. in Ashland, features live music every weekend.
