HUNTINGTONÂ ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” A person has died after a shooting on 4th Avenue just after midnight Sunday.
Huntington ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Chief Phil Watkins said in an emailed statement that HPD officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of 4th Avenue at 12:08 a.m. There, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were taken by Cabell County EMS to a local hospital.
One person died shortly after arrival at the emergency room, according to Watkins, and the other person is currently in stable condition as of noon Sunday.
Huntington ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Department detectives and forensic investigators are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 304-696-4444.
Watkins said no further details about the gunshot victim who died will be released until their next of kin have been notified.
