EXHIBIT: A Black History Month exhibit, hosted by The Highlands Museum and Discovery Center, features ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œAn Abridged Black History TimelineÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ that follows 500 years of African and African-American history. The exhibit also includes a special section dedicated to Booker T. Washington School telling the story of AshlandÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s segregated school; the unique history of the song, ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œLift Every Voice and Sing,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ known as ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œBlack National Anthem;ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œWho Am IÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ showcasing prominent African Americans from across the state of Kentucky; and the evolution study of the Black Barbie Doll with a case displaying a variety of dolls.
