HUNTINGTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Marshall UniversityÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Board of Governors will have its regular meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Shawkey Dining Room of the Memorial Student Center.
Before the main meeting, the boardÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s athletics committee will meet at 10 a.m. to discuss NCAA legislation and capital projects updates, including the baseball stadium naming rights, Cam Henderson Center signage and tarmac parking.
At 11 a.m. in the same room, the finance, audit and facilities planning committee will meet to discuss several action items.
The committee will discuss reallocating funds from the State Institutions of Higher Education Deferred Maintenance Program.
In June 2023, the board approved 31 maintenance projects under the program. Some of the projects came in under budget.
With the leftover funding, staff have asked for $939,600 for a partial roof replacement in Gullickson Hall which, according to the budget, has several leaks causing damage to classrooms and offices.
The committee will also discuss a property acquisition in executive session and a receipt of final audited financial statements for fiscal year 2024.
The academic and student affairs committee will also meet at 11 a.m. in the student resource center, which is also in the Memorial Student Center.
