SEMINARIAN: Nathan Schmidt is the new seminarian for the summer at HuntingtonÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Growing up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Martins Ferry, Ohio, he graduated from West Virginia Northern College in 2012 and Wheeling Jesuit University in 2015 with a bachelorÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s degree in accounting. He also passed the CPA exam in 2016. A convert to the Catholic faith, he was received into the Catholic Church at St. Michael Parish in Wheeling in 2018 and served as a volunteer for Amigos de Jesus, an organization providing a home for children separated from their families in Honduras. Entering the seminary in 2022, he finished philosophy studies in 2004 and just completed his first year of theology studies at Mount St. MaryÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Welcome Nathan to the parish community and have a great summer.

Carrie Hinkle Hill, former Thundering Herd softball star and Marshall University Hall of Famer, also was a volleyball coach at Fairland High School, her alma mater.
