West Virginia's Sydney Shaw drives against Columbia in the first round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in Chapel Hill, N.C.

MORGANTOWN ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Unlike West VirginiaÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s football and menÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s basketball programs, the MountaineersÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™ womenÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s basketball team doesnÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™t have to completely rebuild its roster this coming season.

Admittedly coach Mark Kellogg, whose squads posted identical 25-8 records in each of his first two seasons at WVU, has some big shoes to fill this coming year. He must replace three graduated starters in JJ Quinerly (20.4 points and 3.0 steals per game), Kyah Watson (5.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game) and Kylee Blacksten (6.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game), but five members of last seasonÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s NCAA Tournament qualifier do return.
