With the game tied in the fourth quarter, Ishmael forced a fumble as Western Michigan quarterback Hayden Wolff scrambled out of the pocket. That set up Marshall's go-ahead score, which came three plays later.

In addition to averaging more then 40 yards per boot, the Herd's Australian punter also recorded a solo tackle following his shortest punt of the afternoon (34 yards), which was returned 27 yards before Clark shoved the returner out of bounds.
