Jonathan Scott and Coby Dillon scored for the Flying Eagles (1-0). Harris Coulter netted the RedskinsÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™ goal.
GALLIA ACADEMY 10, IRONTON 0: The Blue Devils scored six goals in the first half on their way to a rout of the Fighting Tigers in an Ohio Valley Conference game in Centenary, Ohio.
ASHLAND 2, MONTGOMERY COUNTY 2: Maxx Brown made seven saves to preserve the TomcatsÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™ tie with the Indians in Mount Sterling, Kentucky.
Troy Barnett and Dawson Morris scored for Ashland (1-0-1). Cailen Vice and Roberth Pinzon tallied a goal each for Montgomery County (1-1-1).
SISSONVILLE 8, LINCOLN COUNTY 0: Freshman Rylie Haynes scored a hat trick to lead the host Indians (1-0) over the Panthers (0-1).
Blake Cruickshank scored two goals and assisted on two. Genna Ramsey chipped in one goal and one assist. Cambrie Coffman and Payton Marion each scored once. Alli Gregor made a trio of assists.
Kayana Mower earned the win in goal.
CABELL MIDLAND 157, WINFIELD 165: Sophomore Jackson Foster, the KnightsÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™ No. 4 player, shot 1-under-par 35 to take medalist honors and lead Cabell Midland to a victory over the Generals at the Guyan Golf & Country Club.
Wyatt Maynard and Ethan Moreland each shot 40 for the Knights. Carson Sergent carded a 42.
Lucas Hall paced Winfield with a 39. Gavin Martin and Jackson Webb each shot 41. Owen Taylor fired a 44.
WAHAMA WINS QUAD: Wahama defeated River Valley, Ripley and Roane County in a match at the Riverside Golf Club in Mason, West Virginia.
The White Falcons shot 158, led by medalist Grant RoushÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s 2-under-par 33. Parker Jordan backed Roush with a 41. Nate Harris, Jesse Jordan and Brady Meadows each shot 42.
ATHENS WINS AT MEIGS: The Bulldogs won a girls golf tournament at the Meigs Golf Course in Pomeroy, Ohio.
Ellie Beck-Aden of Athens was the medalist with a 3-over par 37 to help the Bulldogs defeat River Valley and Eastern Meigs.
FAIRLAND 3, COAL GROVE 0: The Dragons (1-0 overall, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference) opened their season with a sweep of the Hornets (0-1, 0-1) at the Carl York Center in Rome Township, Ohio.
Fairland won 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.
GALLIA ACADEMY 3, IRONTON 0: The Blue Angels swept the host Fighting Tigers 25-10, 25-11, 25-12 at the Conley Center.
Gallia Academy improved to 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the OVC. Ironton dipped to 0-1, 0-1.
MEIGS 3, WAHAMA 2: The Marauders won the decisive set 15-12 to edge the White Falcons in Pomeroy, Ohio.
Meigs won 21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 15-12. Jordin Davenport made 12 assists and Adrien Kinnan 11.
For Wahama, Sophie Gray made 11 kills and Eve Smith 10 assists.
WHEELERSBURG 3, CHILLICOTHE 0: The Pirates opened their season with a sweep of the Cavaliers.
Wheelersburg won 25-18, 25-18 and 25-11.
