Ethan Wall went 5 for 5 with five runs batted in Tuesday as Fairland defeated Rock Hill 11-1 in high school baseball. Wall smacked two doubles and scored three runs.
The Dragons (4-6, 3-0 Ohio Valley Conference) led 3-0 before scoring five times in the fifth to break open the game.
Garrett Cornwell went 3 for 4 for Fairland, which totaled 17 hits. Chase Lapole went 2 for 3 and Wyatt Thomas was 2 for 4. Kaden Wiseman struck out six, walked two and gave up a pair of hits to earn the win.
The Redmen fell to 2-4 and 2-1 in league play.

Chandler Kiser knocked two hits.

RACELAND 11, RUSSELL 9: The Rams (11-4) defeated the Red Devils for the second time in three days, winning on the road in 63rd District seeding.
Michael Pennington led the way with a 2-for-3, three-RBI performance. Preston Coldiron was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Brigham Davidson picked up the win.
BOYD COUNTY 5, FLEMING COUNTY 1: The Lions (10-3) won their eighth straight, topping the Panthers (7-8) in the Kentucky 2A Section 6 tournament final in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
Brody Biggs drove in three runs and was the winning pitcher. Grant Slater slapped three hits. Caleb Gray and Alex Maynard tallied two hits each for Boyd County.
IRONTON ST. JOE 17, NEW BOSTON 1: Blake Medinger pitched a two-hitter in his first career start to pace the Flyers (3-4) by the homestanding Tigers (0-5).
Evan Aldridge drove in three runs by going 3 for 4. Carson Lyons was 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Wesley Neal was 2 for 3 and knocked in three. Medinger was 2 for 3.
GREENUP COUNTY 11, LEWIS COUNTY 7: Six Musketeers knocked in runs in a 63rd District seeding victory over the Lions in Lloyd, Kentucky.
Gavin Roy drove in two. Luke Boggs earned the win as Greenup County improved to 8-8. Lewis County dipped to 3-9.
GREEN 4, PORTSMOUTH NOTRE DAME 2: The Bobcats (6-1) scored twice in the top of the eighth inning to win.
The Titans (2-2) scored once in the first and the third for a 2-0 lead. Green ties it with a pair of runs in the fifth.
Landon Kimbler was the winning pitcher in relief and went 2 for 4.
Luke Cassidy was 2 for 4 for Portsmouth Notre Dame, which coaxed 10 walks.

BOYD COUNTY 16, ASHLAND 1: The Lions (10-7) wore out the Kittens in a four-inning mercy-rule decision in Cannonsburg, Kentucky.
Freshman Lacyn Black went 2 for 2 with a home run and two RBIs. Savanna Henderson and Elyn Simpkins each went 3 for 4 with a trio of RBIs. Simpkins earned the win. Brooke Jacobs was 3 for 4. Jadyn Goad, Grace Stephens, Kyli Kouns and Mya Hamilton smashed two hits apiece as Boyd County totaled 20.
Ashland (7-8) lost its fifth straight.
GALLIA ACADEMY 20, RIVER VALLEY 5: Ava Angel and Colbie Nida hit home runs as the Blue Angels clobbered the Raiders is Bidwell, Ohio.
Gallia Academy took advantage of 15 hits, three walks and seven River Valley errors.
Nida was the winning pitcher. Angel drove in three runs on three hits. Maggie Davis swatted two hits and plated a trio of runners. Chloe Bennett whacked three hits. Braylee Fellure knocked in two runs. Bennett, Nida and Angel scored four runs apiece.
Olivia Stidham drove home two runs for the Raiders. Marlana Foreman had two hits.
RACELAND 11, RUSSELL 0: Davanna Grubb hurled a two-hitter as the Rams (12-3) defeated the visiting Red Devils (5-9) in 63rd District seeding.
