Russell opened the tournament with a 52-34 loss to West Jessamine (8-2). Kennedy Darnell led the Red Devils with 16 points.
Russell (7-3) bounced back with a 79-74 triumph over Harlan (5-6) as Gabby Oborne netted 24 points, Darnell 16, Bethany Allen 15 and Kenley Kouns 10.
The Red Devils then edged Logan County 51-50 as Darnell scored 15 and Oborne and Kouns 14 each.
HURRICANE 88, FUQUA 15: Kendall Anderson scored 14 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and issued 10 assists at the Redskins (8-0) clobbered the Falcons (3-6) of Farmville, Virginia, in the Mount Storm Power Plant Holiday Classic at Tucker County High School in Hambleton, West Virginia.
OHIO RIVER CLASSIC: Raceland (6-4) beat Belfry 53-35 in the Ryan Keeton Exp Ohio River Classic at Raceland behind 16 points from Naomi Maynard and 16 more from Allayson Rigsby. Emma Broughton tossed in 13 points.
The Rams also beat Magoffin County 69-47 as Maynard totaled 19 points. Broughton scored 14 points, as did Rigsby. Brookelyn Campbell scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Raceland lost 45-37 to Pikeville, which also defeated Wheelersburg 58-48 and Betsy Layne 57-50.

Boyd County beat the Rebels (5-2) behind 25 points from Kollyn Groves. Jada Ray scored 17 and Isabella Opell 14. The Lions topped the Commodores (5-4) as Groves, a seventh grader, tossed in 17 points and Ray added 11. Sophia Stevens grabbed 10 rebounds.
RIVER VALLEY 45, OAK HILL 25: The Raiders scored the first 29 points and walloped the Oaks in Bidwell, Ohio.
River Valley led 40-5 by halftime.
