Emma Ridenour waked with the bases loaded to force home Addie Ridenour to pull the Vikings within 5-4. Audrey Ferguson then singled in Autumn Justice and Brenna Tibbs to win it.
Natalie Simpson went 2 for 3 for Symmes Valley. Tibbs struck out 10 to earn the win.
Kota Copley was 3 for 4 with 2 runs batted in for the Pointers (14-8).
GALLIA ACADEMY 15, FAIRFIELD UNION 13: Chloe Bennett knocked in three runs with four hits as the Blue Angels held off the Falcons in a Division IV district tournament game in Centenary, Ohio.
Reagan Skidmore drove in three runs on three hits for Gallia Academy. Maggie Davis and Sarah Thomas each knocked home two runs. Bennett, Skidmore and Colbie Nida scored three runs apiece. Nida was the winning pitcher.
The Blue Angels advance to the district semifinals at Logan Elm at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
RACELAND 1, COAL GROVE 0: Bryna Wellman knocked in Jill Riffle in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Rams over the Hornets.
Winning pitcher Davanna Grubb allowed three hits, fanned six and walked three.
Mia Haynes went 2 for 4 for Coal Grove. Abbie Deeds struck out 11, walked three and gave up three hits.
ASHLAND 6, GREENUP COUNTY 0: Brookelyn Duckwyler went 2 for 2 with two home runs and five RBIs to lead the host Kittens by the Musketeers.
Riley Harmon was 2 for 3. Addi Laine struck out nine in hurling a one-hitter. Jenna DeLaney stole two bases.

FAIRVIEW 4, SOUTH POINT 1: Jace Manning earned the win and Hunter Good the save as the Eagles beat the host Pointers.
Manning struck out nine, walked two and allowed three hits.
He also went 3 for 3, scored twice and stole two bases. Jeffrey Everetts knocked in a pair of runs.
BOYD COUNTY 11, RACELAND 3: Conner Davis homered, tripled and drove in three runs in a 3-for-4 performance to help the Lions top the Rams in Cannonsburg, Kentucky.
Josh Kelley went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Brogan Jones plated a pair of runners. Grant Slater was 3 for 4. Kyle Cordial was the winning pitcher.
ROWAN COUNTY 10, RUSSELL 5: Will Richardson homered and drove in four runs as the visiting Vikings defeated the Red Devils.
Aaron Pennington hit a home run and knocked in three for Rowan County. Ben Dehart smacked two hits. Mason Havens picked up the win.
