Fall sports just started and already we have some amazing statistics to review. HereÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s a look at some astonishing feats from the week:
Ironton football is fifth in Ohio in all-time victories with a record of 741-363-45. Massillon Washington leads at 948-299-36. The Fighting Tigers opened with a 63-0 victory at Shelby Valley.
Boyd CountyÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Faith Burnside scored six goals and assisted on one in the Lions 7-0 girls soccer triumph over Fleming County. Boyd CountyÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Aubree Moore made four assists and added one goal. Friday, Logan (Ohio) and Athens met in football for the 100th time. The Bulldogs won 41-0. The Chieftains lead the series 54-41-5.
South Webster volleyballÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Sidney Keslar recorded her 1,000th career assist. Symmes Valley football limited Chesapeake to minus-39 yards rushing on 20 attempts Friday in a 35-0 win. Wheelersburg kicker Cooper Heimbach kicked field goals of 51 and 53 yards Friday in a 43-8 triumph over KIPP Columbus. The 53-yarder is a program record.

Cabell Midland boys basketball set the field for its Christmas Classic. Dec. 19, the Knights will play East Fairmont, and Wayne will take on Riverside. The consolation and championship games are set for Dec. 20. The Pittsburgh Steelers released former Spring Valley offensive lineman Doug Nester.
Former Cabell Midland soccer star Ryan Holmes of Marshall University was named one of the top 100 players in the country by Top Drawer Soccer. Eastern Meigs defeated Meigs in football for the first time Friday. Spring Valley volleyball won the Shirley Brown Invitational in Beckley.
