Ironton and Fairland traded places in the Division V, Region 19 OHSAA high school football computer ratings Tuesday.
The Fighting Tigers (7-1, 19.1237 points) defeated the Dragons 41-0 on Friday to vault from fourth to first in the region. Fairland (7-1, 16.4336) dropped from No. 1 to No. 4.
Portsmouth (6-2, 14.1059) is sixth, Coal Grove (6-2, 8.5361) 13th and Wheelersburg (4-4, 7.7045) 14th.
The ratings are used to determine playoff berths. The top 16 teams qualify for the postseason, with the top eight earning home games in the first round.
Harvest Prep (6-1, 17.886) is second and Barnesville (8-0, 16.5253) third. Gahanna Columbus Academy (8-0, 14.9735) is fifth, followed in the top eight by Portsmouth, Amanda-Clearcreek (5-2, 12.9750) and Belmont Union Local 7-1, 12.5).
Columbus Africentric (5-3, 11.45) is ninth, ahead of Nelsonville-York (6-2, 11.3), West Muskingum (5-2, 10.889), Piketon (5-2, 9.4625), Coal Grove, Wheelersburg, Zane Trace (4-4, 7.4875) and Wellston (5-3, 6.9750).
Meigs (3-5, 2.2670) is 22nd and South Point (1-7, 1.7007) 24th.
In Division VI, if the playoffs began today, No. 8 Rock Hill (6-2, 5.9773) would entertain No. 9 Chesapeake (5-3, 5.7883). Coldwater (8-0, 14.5) is No. 1, followed in the top eight by Anna (5-3, 11.775), Portsmouth West (6-2, 11.125), Cincinnati Country Day (6-1, 10.1477), Paint Valley (7-1, 9.9), St. Bernard-Elmwood Place (7-1, 9.366), South Vienna Northeastern (5-3, 6.1250) and Rock Hill.
Chesapeake is ahead of Dayton Christian (4-2, 5.4107), Covington (3-5, 4.5808), Cincinnati Deer Park (3-5, 4.3250), Cincinnati Purcell Marian (3-4, 4.2319), Madison-Plains (4-4, 4.2), Lima Perry (4-4, 3.9265) and National Trail (4-4, 2.7125).
South Gallia (5-2, 6.0238) is sixth in Division VII, Region 27. Portsmouth Notre Dame (3-5, 3.3638) is 10th, Symmes Valley (3-4, 2.5008) 17th, Sciotoville East (1-7, 1.1762) 18th and Green (1-6, 1.3621) 21st.
Eastern Pike (8-0, 10.8189) tops the region. Danville (6-2, 9.9817) is second, followed by Steubenville Catholic (6-2, 8.8231), Trimble (5-2, 8.525), Miller (6-2, 7.2875), Conotton Valley (5-3, 6.6944), South Gallia and Southern (3-5, 4.1301).
Hannibal River (3-5, 3.7334) is ninth, ahead of Portsmouth Notre Dame, New Matamoras Frontier (3-5, 3.1875), Fisher Catholic (3-5, 3.1492), Shadyside (2-6, 3.1250), Strasburg-Franklin (2-6, 3.125), Bridgeport (3-5, 3.1125) and Fairfield Christian Academy (2-6, 2.675).
In Division IV, Region 15, Gallia Academy (0-8, 0.0) and River Valley (0-8, 0.0) are tied for 24th.
