DAVIS, W.Va. ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Former Cabell Midland High School golfer Jack Michael was second after the second round of the WVGA Junior Amateur tournament on Wednesday at Canaan Valley Resort.
Michael, now a West Virginia University golfer, followed a 4-under-par 68 first round with a 7-under 64 to trail Tommy Evans of Charlestown by four strokes in the 93-player field at the 6,856-yard course.
McCartney Hinkle of Bluefield, Virginia, is at 138 to sit in third place. Isaac Hayes of Hurricane, West Virginia, is fourth with a 139.
Castyn Viars of South Charleston carded a 159 to lead the girls division by six strokes over Lexi Green of Capital High School.
