Mountwest Community and Technical CollegeÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Associate of Applied Science degree program - Network and Cloud Systems Administration has been recognized as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). This designation demonstrates MountwestÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s commitment to providing high-quality education and training in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.
The CAE-CD honor is awarded to regionally accredited institutions offering cybersecurity programs. To achieve this recognition, the program had to meet rigorous standards set by the National Security Agency (NSA) demonstrating excellence in curriculum design, faculty expertise, and commitment to preparing students for careers in the critical and growing field of cyber defense.
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œThe new cybersecurity range serves as the perfect hub to train our students with curriculum certified by the NSA. We will continue to deliver high quality cybersecurity education and training, ensuring employability and expertise in a critically important and growing field,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ said Dr. Baker, President of Mountwest.Â
Mountwest is the second community college in West Virginia to receive this esteemed designation. This achievement will not only attract more students to the program but it enhances marketability, expands funding opportunities, and also ensures graduates are well-equipped to meet the needs of the cybersecurity industry.
