President Trump stated he would prioritize deportation of immigrants with a criminal history. Unable to meet his self-imposed quotas, he has now taken rights from immigrants who are here legally on work permits with U.S. sponsors. ICE agents are lurking like vultures outside of immigration courts, arresting without warrants immigrants there for hearings before they get their day in court. ICE agents are going into workplaces and arresting those who are working at jobs Americans wonÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™t do for wages Americans would not accept. Meanwhile, a fast track to citizenship in the USA is for sale to any foreign national who can pay $5 million.
Recently, ICE agents began a targeted attack in Los Angeles, with the warrantless arrests of immigrants in the city. The mostly peaceful protests of the illegal arrests were in a few blocks area of the city, comparable to the size of the Huntington downtown area. The protests involved some self-driving cars being set on fire and some objects thrown by a few participants. However, neither the size nor the urgency was not greater than the types of raucous behavior of fans of LA sports teams after winning games. The LA police force of 9,000 officers was more than capable of crowd control without the invasion of state or federal troops. Right wing media plays the same footage over and over to portray a city under siege while TV shows originating from LA show the reality of residents going about their everyday routines.
With TrumpÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œOne Big Beautiful Bill,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ the most vulnerable and poorest people will lose access to health care, Medicaid and SNAP benefits. Meanwhile, the commander-in-chief of our armed forces was obsessed with having a poorly attended military parade at a cost to the Army over $45 million and another $16 million to repair the streets of DC. from damage from the military equipment. Our draft dodging president got three deferments from his fatherÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s podiatrist for bone spurs which donÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™t prevent him from standing on stage for hours, rambling incoherently and dancing, or playing golf days on end. What a slap in the face for our current service members and veterans to be asked to take part in any type of salute to this man.
