Elon Musk could interrupt Social Security payments
Feb. 18, 2025, Newsweek reports on Elon MuskÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s audit of Social Security Administration (SSA). Elon proclaims at various times that numerous people of 150 years or older receive benefits. In support of his claim he points to portion of spreadsheet showing long-dead people still claiming benefits.
Former Maryland governor and Social Security commissioner under Biden, Martin OÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™Malley, criticizes interference by MuskÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at SSA. SSA manages and furnishes benefits to about 73 million Americans monthly. OÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™Malley asserts to Washington Post, ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œAt this rate, they (DOGE) will break it (SSA). And they will break it fast, and there will be interruption of benefits.ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Bad news for those depending on their Social Security.
