In its last session, the WV Legislature passed 18B-2A-1, on the composition of the institutional boards of governors at our state universities, now law. It strips voting rights for members who represent the vast majority who make up a university: the students, the faculty and the staff. At Marshall University, we are talking of over 11,000 students, and some 2,000 faculty and staff. Administrators, many of whom earn six-digit salaries, are seemingly not specified in the legislation.
