On Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, you published a letter in the Voice of the People in which a person referred to the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œnonviolent protestersÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ who marched on Congress. According to the letter writer, they did nothing wrong. I urge the writer to go back and look at the news footage again. How could you not see the same thing that I saw? Violence, looting, destruction of property, threats against the vice presidentÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥˜s life: These were all very apparent to me. The writer questioned why there was a different set of laws for the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œnonviolent protesters ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ from Jan. 6. I suggest the person go back and watch what actually occurred.
