We have found the recent actions of President Trump and Mr. Musk to be very disturbing. While one may believe that reductions in the federal workforce are warranted, there is a right way and a wrong way to accomplish that goal. To date the administrationÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s methods have been incredibly ignorant ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” no rational businessperson would be so indiscriminate and callous to email dismissal notices to entire workforces. Why would any worker with any self-respect tolerate such stupidity and disrespect from an employer? Such tactics are also shamefully inconsiderate to our federal workers.
Regardless of what one thinks of the federal government, our federal workers, like most of us, are hardworking, conscientious individuals just doing their jobs with a passion to serve others for the betterment of our country. These thoughtless, late night missives would be insulting to any of us and would not be tolerated in any other business. Directives demanding an itemized list of oneÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s weekly accomplishments sent on a Friday evening requiring an response by Monday are not worthy of consideration by any employee and would not follow any standard protocol utilized in HR offices. Such tactics coming from two arrogant ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œclownsÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ whose millions come from the labors of working men and women is inexcusable.
The long-term consequences on important governmental services will be devastating. Certainly, our federal workers deserve treatment.
