Joy is in the air during the swearing in ceremony, on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Fort Gay's town hall, for the Town of Fort Gay officials who were elected during the general town election earlier that month.Â
FORT GAY ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” The Fort Gay mayor, town council members, municipal judge and recorder who were elected in the townÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s general election last month were sworn in on Monday during a ceremony at town hall.
During the ceremony, Trey Morrone, counsel to the town, swore in new Mayor Robert ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œBobÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Sword; new Town Council member Wilts Salmons; returning Town Council members Greg Cavins, Jamie Frasher, Payton Rowe and Bobby Daniels; returning Municipal Judge Larry Britt; and returning Recorder Wade T. Cyrus.
Cyrus said all of the officials elected will serve four-year terms.
The new town council also met on Tuesday evening at town hall for its first meeting following the swearing in ceremony.
