A soggy Thursday as spring showers continue here in Putnam County! Looks like we will start off the month of May with a soggy day in the schedule. A few gusty storms could bring 60-plus mph winds, but the bigger issue with todayÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s system will be heavy downpours. A lagging front with extremely humid conditions will lead to showers and thunderstorms at times through the afternoon and evening. While highs will be mild into the 80s, the moisture will lead to some poor-drainage flooding in low-lying areas. If any rainfall totals exceed the 2 to 3 inch amounts, some creeks and streams will need to be monitored for rises ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” but at this point, the chances look isolated.

The frontal boundary finally clears the region late Friday. We will start off with morning rain and thunderstorm chances but improve gradually by the evening. A seasonably comfortable day with highs in the 70s.
