WV Coffee Festival coming June 28
HURRICANE ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” The inaugural West Virginia Coffee Festival will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Valley Park.
While tickets for the official tasting event have sold out, there will still be plenty of vendors, live music and food in the Valley Park Courtyard for non-ticketed attendees to enjoy.

Hurricane to host July 4 Celebration
HURRICANE ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” The City of Hurricane Independence Day Celebration 2025 will celebrate AmericaÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s birthday beginning with a parade at 4 p.m. Friday, July 4, from Midland Trail to Main Street, Hurricane.
Following the parade, there will be an evening of free fun at the Putnam County Bank Sports Complex at Hurricane Bridge Park (1 Bridge Park Way; park entrance is located beside First Baptist Church on Main Street).
Events will include inflatables and games, up-close magic, balloon twisting, patriotic sand art, cotton candy, sno cones, ice cream, watermelon and more ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” all free.
The event will end at 10 p.m. with fireworks being launched from Water Tank Hill ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” which is viewable from the event area at Hurricane Bridge Park.
Valley Park to host Night Market
HURRICANE ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Valley ParkÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s next Night Market event will be a special kids night, ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œPirates and Princesses,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.
Grownups can bring the kids out for some games, face painting, and balloon animals and enjoy some food trucks and vendors.
Church to host Song & Praise Service June 29
FRAZIERS BOTTOM ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Fraizers Bottom Methodist Church will be having a Song & Praise Service on Sunday, June 29, at 7 p.m., with special guests The Believers.
The church is located at 1 Church Lane, Fraizers Bottom.
The building is handicapped accessible. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Buffalo Library to host ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥˜Bad Art EveningÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™ June 30
BUFFALO ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” The Buffalo Library is hosting ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œBad Art Evening: An Ugly Art Creative Event for Adults, at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 30.
Adults are invited to bring a canvas to work on, or ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œimproveÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ one of the secondhand pieces the library will have available at this creative evening event.
Decorate with craft supplies, add your own touch to the painting, and create your own original masterpiece.
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œOur only goal is to ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥˜Color Our WorldÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™ with perfectly ugly art,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ the library stated in a news release.
Therapy horses to visit Eleanor Library
ELEANOR ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Itty Bitty Therapy horses are riding into town with some of their equine friends.
The community is invited to meet the horses and their trainers, and learn more about equine therapy and these darling ponies at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, at the Eleanor Library.
Survivors of Suicide support group to meet
HURRICANE ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Just-In-Time Survivors of Suicide support group will hold a weekly meeting every Wednesday at the Putnam County Library, 4219 WV-34, Hurricane, from 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Gabriel Project to offer baby supplies
