IRONTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” An Oct. 16 trial has been set in Lawrence County Pleas Court for an Ironton man charged with 30 counts of rape.
Steven Kelley, 49, of Private Drive 2045, Ironton, has rejected a plea offer of 25 years to life in prison in the case. If convicted, he could face life in prison, said Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson.
In several unrelated cases, Judge Andy Ballard sentenced several people to complete a three- to six-month program at the STAR Community Justice Center in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.
Kerri D. Foster, 31, of Solida Road, South Point, violated terms of her intervention in lieu of conviction program and was ordered to complete the program at STAR.
Edward Turner, 47, of Township Road 167, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to violating terms of her intervention in lieu of conviction program and was ordered to complete the program at STAR.
Michael G. Martin, 58, of Township Road 320, Waterloo, admitted violating terms of his community control sanctions (probation) and was ordered to complete the STAR relapse program.
In other cases:
Albert Q. Rucker, 32, of Wilmington, Ohio, admitted violating terms of his intervention in lieu of conviction program and was ordered to spend 90 days in the Lawrence County Jail.
Thomas E. Crisp, 58, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, pleaded guilty in a felony case and was placed on intervention in lieu of conviction program.
Joshua Turvey, 35, of 3rd Avenue, Worthington, Kentucky, pleaded not guilty to having weapons while under disability and aggravated possession of drugs. Bond was set at $10,000.
Aaron Vance, 42, of Branchland, West Virginia, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession and trafficking in drugs. Bond was set at $10,000.
