HUNTINGTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the Zach Bryan concert at Marshall UniversityÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Saturday, with even more showing up to tailgate outside the venue.
has a , permitting only one clear bag (12ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥x6ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥x12ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥) or a small clutch (4.5ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥x6.5ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥) per person. The stadium is cashless, so all transactions must use credit, debit or mobile payments. There is no re-entry once inside.
According to the City of HuntingtonÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Facebook page, law enforcement officers will guide concert traffic along 3rd Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard. Lights on both roads will be set to flashing yellow to improve traffic flow.
These streets will be closed after the concert to streamline those exiting the city:
No southbound traffic on 20th Street from 5th Avenue
No northbound traffic on 24th Street from 5th Avenue
No northbound traffic on Hal Greer Boulevard from 4th Avenue to 3rd Avenue
20th St. closed between 3rd and 5th Avenues
Marshall Athletics is selling parking passes in the West Lot of the stadium, and those spots are in high demand. West Lot gates will open six hours prior to the concert (1 p.m.) for tailgating. Additional questions regarding information on the cost of passes and how to purchase were unanswered as of press time Thursday.
Both the Child Development Academy at Marshall University and the United Way of the River Cities are selling parking spots for $20 as fundraisers for their organizations. The CDA spots are at 520 2nd St. and the UWRC spots are at 2400 3rd Ave.
Marshall University Cheerleading is holding a parking fundraiser at the State Electric parking lot at 2010 2nd Ave. for $50 per car.
