HUNTINGTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Marshall Health NetworkÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Cabell Huntington Hospital recently welcomed health care providers and community members to an open house celebrating the relocation and enhancement of its pulmonary rehabilitation program.
The event Tuesday showcased the new facility in the SMART Center, located in the hospital atrium on the ground floor. Hospital officials said this move brings pulmonary rehabilitation services to a more accessible location outfitted with advanced technology to enhance patient care and recovery.
Attendees had the chance to tour the upgraded facility, meet health care providers, and explore new, state-of-the-art equipment, including two Star Trac Treadmills, an Octane Airdyne Bike, two Nustep recumbent steppers, and two Sci Fit UBE (Upper Body Ergometers).
The equipment is designed to provide patients with a comprehensive aerobic workout. Each machine focuses on building overall strength and endurance, essential for patients managing chronic lung conditions.
Karri Schultz-Britt, clinical exercise physiologist, emphasized the importance of pulmonary rehabilitation for those facing respiratory challenges.

The Cabell Huntington Hospital Auxiliary played a key role in funding the facility upgrades.
