CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to Sheri Kinder Tadlock who retired on June 6 after teaching music classes for 36 years at Wayne Elementary School. In those years, more than 4,000 students learned to love and to perform music as well as being involved in the community through service projects and performances. Several of TadlockÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s groups have performed in Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry, the Huntington Symphony, WV Arts Alive, and numerous community nursing homes and organizations. Tadlock, a 1982 graduate of Barboursville High School and a 1986 grad of Marshall University, says that she hopes that she has shown her students how to make the world a brighter place through the gift of music. During retirement, Sheri plans to stay involved in the music community by performing with different groups, to travel, and to spend more time with her family.
