HUNTINGTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” Not everyone knows what they want to do after college, but two career fairs at Marshall University will present plenty of options for students.
The first event, the Cyber Security and Cyberforensic Career Fair, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Memorial Student Center.
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œThis fair is specifically tailored for students interested in cybersecurity, cyberforensics, and related fields,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ the university said in a news release. ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œStudents will have the chance to explore opportunities within the ever-expanding tech sector, connect with industry professionals and learn about potential career paths in cyber defense and digital forensics.ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥
The following day, Wednesday, Sept. 25, the All-Majors Career Fair will take place from noon to 4 p.m. in the Rec Center.
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œWith over 120 companies from a variety of industries attending, this fair is designed to cater to students of all academic backgrounds,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ the release said. ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œFrom business and health care to engineering and liberal arts, there will be something for everyone. Students will have the chance to meet potential employers, distribute resumes and explore numerous career and internship opportunities.ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥
Both fairs are open to students and alumni seeking internships, part-time and full-time job opportunities.
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œThese career fairs provide invaluable opportunities for students to connect with employers and learn about the wide array of positions available in todayÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s job market,ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Jennifer Brown, assistant director for student engagement and marketing at MarshallÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s Office of Career Education, said in the release. ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œWe encourage all students to take advantage of these events to network, practice their interviewing skills, and get a head start on their career journeys.ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥
Students are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume and dress in business professional attire. Both career fairs are free, and no pre-registration is required. Additional resources, such as resume reviews and career fair preparation tips, are available through the Office of Career Education, the release added.
