HUNTINGTON ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥” A Huntington man died after a shooting on 4th Avenue just after midnight Sunday.
Huntington ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Chief Phil Watkins said in an emailed statement that HPD officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of 4th Avenue at 12:08 a.m. There, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were taken by Cabell County EMS to a local hospital.
One person, identified by Watkins on Monday as 20-year-old Gabriel Zazueta, died shortly after arrival at the emergency room, according to Watkins. The other person was in stable condition as of noon Sunday.
Huntington ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Department detectives and forensic investigators are investigating the shooting, which Watkins said appears to be isolated. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 304-696-4444.
