The vote Wednesday is a feat for hotel heiress Paris Hilton who has spent years lobbying lawmakers to regulate the industry. 

A Senate bill that aims to prevent abuse of minors in West VirginiaÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥™s residential treatment programs has backing from Paris Hilton, who sent a letter to state lawmakers urging them to pass the legislation.

Heiress, model and actress Hilton, she was abused in residential treatment facilities as a teen, said the legislation establishes ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥œessential protectionsÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ for children.
